From Vision to Certification: a2z at NIES 2026
Celebrating Indigenous leadership, collaboration, and the future of Indigenous postsecondary education.
As a Knowledge Circle Sponsor of the National Indigenous Education Summit (NIES) 2026, a2z strategic consulting was honoured to join Indigenous education leaders, institutions, and partners from across Canada.
This year's gathering was particularly meaningful for our team. Alongside representatives from Iohahi:o, GRETI, and AEI, we had the opportunity to share the journey toward college certification and the collaboration that made this work possible.
A Journey Built on Collaboration
For years, we've worked alongside Indigenous postsecondary institutions to strengthen governance, develop policies, build strategic plans, and support their paths toward certification.
Behind every milestone are countless conversations, challenging decisions, and people committed to creating stronger educational opportunities for their communities.
The NIES presentation was an opportunity to recognize that dedication and celebrate the Indigenous leadership driving these initiatives forward.
Looking Ahead
The conversations at NIES 2026 reminded us why this work matters. Strong Indigenous-led institutions create opportunities for learners, communities, and future generations.
We're grateful for the relationships we've built and look forward to continuing this important work together.
